King's Day Fun
Hi, I'm Kate — and this started with my daughter Anna.
I’ve always loved finding fun, unusual clothing for both of us —
but I kept running into the same problem:
I’d get tired of a design long before the garment wore out.
So I started wondering:
What if clothing could change with you?
That idea became swappable designs…
then evolved into lace-based wearable art when Anna became obsessed
with playing with the cords on my clothes.
And then came another thought:
What if I brought the idea of a busy board into kidswear —
adding playful interactive elements children could wear and play with?
That’s how the MoodSwaps Monsters were born:
Click, Zippy, Lacey and Buttons. They all have special characters and "life" in cartoons and books I made for Anna (e.g. this one is the story of Click)
Anna fell completely in love with them —
and now refuses to wear almost anything else.
So I decided to share these ideas with the world.
Because maybe someone else wants to play with their clothes too.

Every MoodSwaps piece starts with my ideas, evolves through AI-assisted design, and is handcrafted and tested in real life before it reaches you.

Real-Life Testing with Kate & Anna
Before reaching you, every product is tested in real-life situations to ensure it meets our high standards. For example initially I started with DTF transfers, but found that they come in totally different quality. One Click has already survived 6 washes and still alive and the other one was all damaged after the first wash... And also found that embroidery survives frequent washing essential for kids clothes way better. So now I use both good quality DTF and embroidery.
